Marriott to add ten properties in France by end of 2025 – Business Traveller

Marriott International has outlined plans to add ten hotels totalling more than 1,000 rooms across France by the end of next year.

The pipeline includes three Moxy properties, with Moxy Annecy and Moxy Paris Clamart expected to open this year, followed by Moxy Nice by the end of 2025. These will add to the brand’s current French portfolio of nine hotels.

This summer Marriott will also open the 88-room Hôtel du Couvent, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Nice, housed within a convent originally built in 1604.

Facilities will include indoor and outdoor swimming pools, thermal baths, and several F&B options including Le Bistrot des Serruriers.

Other forthcoming additions include a Tribute Portfolio Hotel in Mougins, Residence Inn by Marriott Lille, Courtyard by Marriott Lyon East and Aloft Dijon – the last of which will be housed within a former post office.

The new hotels will add to Marriott’s existing French portfolio of 69 properties across 16 brands in 29 cities.

Recent openings include Moxy Bordeaux in the city’s Wet Docks harbour district, and a dual-branded Courtyard and Residence Inn property close to Paris CDG.

Commenting on the news Alexandra Goguet, vice president of development, France and Benelux, Marriott International, said:

“Conversion and adaptive reuse projects represent nearly half our properties expected to join the Marriott portfolio in France by the end of 2025.

“These projects allow us to add hotels in key locations in city centres and demonstrate our expertise and flexibility in finding innovative solutions to adapt existing buildings whilst creating fantastic guest experiences.”
