Lufthansa to offer Allegris cabins on routes to Bengaluru and Cape Town this winter – Business Traveller

Lufthansa has published an update on its intercontinental flights from Munich Airport this winter, with a return to Sao Paulo and changes in aircraft on existing routes.

The carrier’s new Allegris cabins are set to feature on services to Bengaluru and Cape Town this winter, as well Shanghai and San Francisco this summer.

Lufthansa took delivery of its first A350 fitted with new economy, premium economy and business class products in May.

The Allegris range also includes a new first class suite, but the carrier confirmed in April that this product will not be available until the fourth quarter “with the delivery of more A350 aircraft”.

Launch routes for Allegris include Vancouver, Toronto, Chicago and Montreal.

Meanwhile Lufthansa also confirmed that its A380 will be rostered onto a total of three routes from Munich this winter: Bangkok, Delhi and Los Angeles.

The airline recently launched superjumbo flights to Washington DC, alongside current A380 US routes to Boston, LA and New York – but the latest update confirms that Los Angeles will be the sole US city to see the superjumbo this winter.

As mentioned above Lufthansa will resume flights between Munich and Sao Paulo this winter, joining existing services from Frankfurt to Brazil’s financial centre.

The thrice weekly Munich-Sao Paulo route will launch on 9 December, and will be operated by the carrier’s A350 aircraft.

Finally Lufthansa’s Munich-Vancouver service will continue into the winter season this year, with A350 flights operating on Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays.
