Glasgow Marriott Hotel unveils renovation project – Business Traveller

Marriott has outlined the ongoing renovation of its property on Glasgow’s Argyle Street.

The 303-room Glasgow Marriott Hotel now features the brand’s signature Greatroom concept, encompassing the reception area, lobby, a new lounge bar and the property’s Cast Iron Grill restaurant.

All guest rooms are being upgraded with amenities including 55-inch TVs, and six new Junior Suites have been added alongside the hotel’s 75 Executive Rooms.

The design of the hotel’s revamped public spaces have been inspired by the city’s bridges, and the bar features tile textures “reflecting the rippling waters of the River Clyde”, while the reception desk includes a mural inspired by Glasgow’s ceramic industry.

Executive Room guests have access to the hotel’s lounge, which now features “geometric shapes and Glasgow Maps abstracted in a striking tile layout”.

The property’s ten meeting rooms are also being upgraded, with the renovation works expected to be completed by this December.

Glasgow Marriott Hotel is located opposite the city’s Anderston station, and within walking distance of Glasgow Central station.

The hotel is one of four Marriott properties currently operating in the Glasgow area, including the Courtyard Glasgow Airport which opened in 2016, Moxy Glasgow SEC which opened in 2021, and AC Hotel Glasgow which opened last year.

Moxy Glasgow Merchant City is temporarily closed for renovations and expected to reopen in 2025.
