Cathay Pacific opens Shekou ferry lounge – Business Traveller

Cathay Pacific has officially opened its first non-airport lounge, with the unveiling of a facility at Shekou Cruise Home Port in Shenzhen.

The ferry lounge has the same signature design concept used in Cathay’s airport lounges (designed by London-based Studioilse), and offers 270-degree views of the area, “including a glimpse of Hong Kong in the distance”.

The carrier operates codeshare ferry services between Shekou and the SkyPier Terminal at Hong Kong International airport, with 11 round-trip services per day.

The trip takes around 30 minutes, and enables customers to collect their ferry tickets and boarding passes, and through-check their luggage onto Cathay Pacific flights.

The lounge is open to Cathay Diamond and Gold members, as well as first and business class customers, Cathay Silver members, and equivalent oneworld members travelling on Cathay Pacific flights.
