The Caribbean Hotel and Tourism Association (CHTA) is set to redefine the tourism scene in the Caribbean during the third annual Caribbean Travel Forum on Monday, May 20, in Montego Bay, Jamaica.

This event marks the beginning of this year’s Caribbean Travel Marketplace and convenes top regional and international experts to explore tourism business prospects and strategies for thriving in the Caribbean, a pivotal area in the global travel sector.

Participants will benefit from the insights of prominent speakers, including the renowned travel writer, author, and destination development advisor Doug Lansky, who will present the keynote speech. Lansky will share his expert insights on adapting to the changing dynamics of Caribbean tourism. With a background that includes authoring 10 books and contributions to leading travel publications, his perspectives are highly anticipated.

CHTA President Nicola Madden-Greig, in her “State of the Industry” address, will share key data and insights including data from CHTA’s recently unveiled annual Performance and Outlook Survey. The survey spotlights the resilience and growth of the Caribbean tourism industry with overwhelmingly positive results. It also underscores ongoing challenges that require attention to grow the region’s crucial economic driver.

Her presentation will delve into the expected regional developments, highlighted by the official unveiling of the CHTA Construction and Pipeline Report. It will also provide insights into international and regional dynamics that are influencing the tourism sector.

Several key figures from both the public and private sectors will share their expertise on the business aspects of tourism, including:

The conference will address a wide range of topics critical to the tourism industry’s success in the region.
