Brisbane Airport to welcome Australia’s first Escape lounge – Business Traveller
Brisbane Airport has announced plans for the first Escape lounge outside of the UK and US.
The Escape brand is operated by CAVU, a subsidiary of Manchester Airports Group, and currently has a portfolio of around 20 lounges in locations including East Midlands, Fort Lauderdale, London Stansted, Manchester and Minneapolis-St Paul airports.
The group is also responsible for the forthcoming reopening of Manchester Airport’s private terminal – which will operate under the new name of aether from November.

The Brisbane facility will be located on the mezzanine level of the airport’s International Terminal, and is scheduled to open in late 2024.
The design of the lounge will take inspiration from the South East Queensland region, with the airport highlighting that “references to canopy shade structures found in the Brisbane and Queensland architectural vernacular will define the lounge’s seating zones”.
CAVU already partners with Brisbane Airport on the deployment of pre-booking services for its car parks, and the group’s chief growth officer Nolan Hough said that “We are thrilled to be continuing our relationship with Brisbane Airport with the opening of our first Escape Lounge in Australia”.
“Having worked closely over the past five years by providing pre-booking services for Brisbane’s extensive car parking offering, we are looking forward to providing a world class passenger experience, as well as digitally enabling pre-bookings through CAVU’s pre-book platform, propel,” continued Hough.
Other forthcoming locations for the Escape brand include Portland and Tulsa airports. Earlier this year one of Bristol Airport’s two Aspire lounges was rebranded under the Escape offering.
