Ascott to open lyf Chinatown Singapore – Business Traveller

Serviced residence and hotel operator The Ascott Ltd has announced plans for the fifth Singapore property under its co-living lyf brand.

Lyf Chinatown Singapore is scheduled to open in mid-2026, and will feature 90 accommodation units, a rooftop swimming pool, an outdoor courtyard and terrace, fitness centre, laundry, coworking lounge and “social kitchen”.

The property will be housed within a newly developed building alongside four pre-war conservation shophouses on Pagoda Street.

The lyf brand launched in 2016, and opened its first property in Singapore in 2019. Pronounced “Life” and standing for “Live your freedom”, the brand has been designed “for the next-generation traveller including digital nomads, technopreneurs, creatives and selfstarters”.

Ascott is targeting 150 lyf properties by 2030, and will debut the brand in Europe this year with Lyf Gambetta Paris, located in a former printing house in the city’s 20th arrondissement.
