Akasa Air unveils refreshed in-flight menu at Café Akasa
Akasa Air has introduced an enhanced inflight food and beverage menu for Café Akasa, its onboard meal service. The new menu offers a variety of gourmet meals, snacks, and refreshing beverages, catering to a wide range of dietary and culinary preferences. This menu refresh follows an extensive exercise to understand customer preferences and dining trends, ensuring a unique and differentiated gastronomic experience in the skies. Belson Coutinho, Co-Founder and Chief Marketing & Experience Officer at Akasa Air, emphasised the airline’s commitment to showcasing India’s rich food heritage and cultural diversity through its offerings. The new menu features over 45 options, including fusion meals, regional appetisers, and decadent desserts, meticulously crafted to deliver an unforgettable gastronomic journey.
The refreshed menu at Café Akasa harmoniously blends global flavors with regional delights, introducing industry-first options like the Chaat-buster Box, Kosha Chicken Malabari Wrapper, and Khow Suey Chicken. Decadent desserts such as Chocolate Pistachio Verrine and a kid-friendly Triple Treat Nutella Sandwich are also part of the new offerings. The menu includes healthy options like Fruit and Feta Fiesta Salad, Chicken Shawarma Salad, and Lean Bean Protein Salad, ensuring customers can maintain a healthy lifestyle while traveling. Beverage enhancements include Mango Kombucha, Basil Shikanji, Masala tea, hot chocolate, green tea, and coffee options.
Akasa Air’s menu also features an assortment of ready-to-eat meals such as Tomato Cheese Pasta and Veg Fried Rice, with new additions like Khow Suey, Hyderabadi Veg Biryani, and Chicken Curry Rice starting in July. The airline introduces special festive meals inspired by regional specialties associated with popular festivals and special occasions throughout the year. Committed to sustainability, Akasa Air ensures all packaging for perishable meals is 100 per cent recyclable, ethically sourced, and manufactured without harmful chemicals. Wooden cutlery on board is biodegradable, and passengers can pre-book meals to avoid wastage. Each meal is prepared with the highest hygiene and quality standards, reinforcing the airline’s dedication to exceptional service.
